Tap Fees
A tap fee is the cost to connect a property to a public water system. In many Colorado water districts, a tap fee includes charges related to system capacity, meter installation, water resources, and infrastructure improvements needed to provide long-term service.
In simple terms, a tap fee gives a new property access to the district’s water system. It is separate from monthly water bills and usage charges.
Current Tap Fees & Fee Schedules
Current residential and non-residential tap fees are available through the district’s official Schedule A fee documents. Because fees may change over time, applicants should always review the latest published schedule or contact the district directly before budgeting a project.
